Artemether+Lumefantrine Suspension 180mg+1080mg/60ml

Indication:

The combination of artemether and lumefantrine is used to treat certain kinds of malaria infections. It works by killing the organisms that cause malaria.

Precautions & Warning:

• Avoid in patients with prolongation of the QT interval or certain clinical conditions.
• Avoid in patients with known disturbances of electrolyte balance.
• Avoid in patients receiving medications that prolong the QT interval.

Contra-indications:

Avoid in patients with hypersensitivity to artemether, lumefantrine, or any excipients of Coartem Tablets.

Treatment:

No information on overdoses higher than recommended doses. Symptomatic and supportive therapy should be given in cases of suspected overdosage.

Teratagenicity:

Artemether-lumefantrine is assigned to pregnancy category C. Use during pregnancy only when benefit outweighs risk.
