Usage and Dosage
1. Dosage for adults Add 5-10mg/kg of body weight (maximum dose 500mg), add sodium chloride injection 500ml for intravenous drip, finish dripping in 4 hours, repeat once after 12 hours, and change to oral administration after the condition improves.
2. Dosage for children The dosage is the same as that for adults, 5-10 mg/kg according to body weight (the maximum dose is 500 mg).

Adverse reaction broadcast
1. If the daily dosage of this product exceeds 1g or it is used continuously for a long time, it will often cause cinchona reaction, which is roughly similar to the reaction of salicylic acid, with symptoms such as tinnitus, headache, nausea, vomiting, vision and hearing loss, etc. In severe cases, temporary deafness will occur. Recovery is often possible after medication;
2. When the dose is greater than 4g within 24 hours, it can directly damage the nerve tissue and shrink the retinal blood vessels, resulting in narrowed vision, diplopia, amblyopia, etc.;
3. In case of large-dose poisoning, in addition to the aggravation of the above reactions, it can also inhibit the myocardium and expand peripheral blood vessels, resulting in a sudden drop in blood pressure, slowed and shallow breathing, fever, irritability, delirium, etc., and most of them died of respiratory paralysis;
4. A small number of patients are highly sensitive to quinine, and a small amount can cause severe cinchona reaction;
5. A small number of patients with falciparum malaria can die from acute hemolysis (black urine fever) after using a small amount of quinine;
6. Quinine can also cause rashes, itching, asthma, etc.;
7. Intravenous infusion should be closely observed blood pressure changes.

Precautions broadcast
1. It should be used with caution in patients with asthma, atrial fibrillation and other serious heart diseases, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency and women during menstruation.
2. Interference with diagnosis Quinine can interfere with the determination of 17-hydroxysteroids.
3. Intravenous injection is prone to shock, so intravenous injection is strictly prohibited.

Medication for pregnant and breastfeeding women
Pregnant women are contraindicated. Quinine has the effect of oxytocin. This product can cause fetal hearing loss and congenital damage to the central nervous system and limbs through the placenta. Lactating women use with caution.
Drug Interactions Report
1. Antacids and aluminum-containing preparations can delay or reduce the absorption of quinine.
2. The anticoagulant effect can be enhanced after anticoagulant drugs are combined with quinine.
3. Muscle relaxants such as succinylcholine and tubocurarine contract with quinine and may cause respiratory depression.
4. Combination of quinidine and quinine can increase cinchona reaction.
5. Urine alkalinizing agents such as sodium bicarbonate can increase the reabsorption of quinine by renal tubules, leading to an increase in the plasma concentration and toxicity of quinine.
6. Combined with vitamin K to increase the absorption of quinine.
7. Combination with bucrizine, cyclizine, meclizine, phenothiazines, thioxanthenes, trimethofenzamide, and aminoglycoside antibiotics can cause tinnitus and dizziness;
8. When used in combination with nifedipine (nifedipine), the free quinine concentration increases.
