Indications:
It is used for the treatment of tuberculosis, infective endocarditis caused by Brucella and non-hemolytic Streptomyces, plague and tularemia, influenzae and gram-negative bacilli.
Usage:
One Normal dosage for adults
(1) intramuscular injection, 0.5g(streptomycin, the same below), once every 12 hours, combined with other antibacterial drugs; Bacterial (Streptococcus viridis) endocarditis, intramuscular injection, 1g every 12 hours, combined with penicillin for 1 week, followed by 0.5g every 12 hours for 1 week; Patients over 60 years of age should be reduced to 0.5g every 12 hours for 2 weeks. (2) Enterococcal endocarditis, intramuscular injection, combined with penicillin, 1g every 12 hours for 2 weeks, followed by 0.5g every 12 hours for 4 weeks.
(3) Plague, intramuscular injection, 0.5 ~ 1g once, once every 12 hours, combined with tetracycline, course of 10 days.
(4) Tularemia, intramuscular injection, 0.5 ~ 1g every 12 hours.
Contra-indications:
The damage of streptomycin sulfate to the kidney is mild, manifested as proteinuria and tubular urine, some of the kidney function is temporarily decreased, can be recovered after withdrawal, serious permanent kidney damage is rare.
Precautions & Warning:
Pregnancy Class D. Prohibited for pregnant and lactating women. Contraindosed in patients allergic to streptomycin or other aminoglycosides. Renal dysfunction should adjust the dose in time. Use with caution in patients with cerebral nerve damage, myasthenia gravis, and palsy tremor.
