Composition: Each tablet contains 20mg Nifedipine.
Pharmacological Action:
Nifedipine is calcium channel blocker which reduces myocardial cobtractability and myocardial oxygen demand. It reduces peripheral vascular resistance and increases peripheral blood flow. Nifedipine displays controlled release characteristics.
Indications:
Prophylaxis of chronic stable angina pectoris. Treatment pf mild to moderate hypertension.
Contra-Indications:
Sensitivity to nifedipine.
Pregnancy and lactation.
Nifedipine must not be used in patients with cardiovascular shock.
Dosage:
The usual dose is 20mg to 40mg twice per day.
Storage instructions:
Store below 30ºC. Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
