Antimalarial drug for the treatment of all kinds of malaria, including chloroquine-resistant P. falciparum malaria and first aid for critical malaria.
Administered via intramuscular injection. Five-day course with an initial dose of 3.2mg/kg, followed by 1.6mg/kg for the next 4 days. Adults: initial dose of 160mg (2 ampoules), followed by 80mg (1 ampoule) daily from day 2 to day 5. Adjust dosage for children or overweight patients based on weight or doctor's prescription.
Clinical dosage may cause transient low fever, reticulocytopenia, slight rise in SGOT and SGPT, and rare cases of arrhythmia (e.g., ventricular tachycardia).
Use with caution in the first trimester of pregnancy due to observed fetal absorption. Consult a doctor for administration to children.
Studies show no interactions with other drugs affecting therapeutic effects or increasing toxicity in the body.
No documented cases, but in case of accidental overdose, seek symptomatic treatment under doctor's guidance.
