Indications:
It is used for type II diabetes patients who are not satisfied with simple diet control, especially obesity and hyperinsulinemia. It not only has the effect of lowering blood sugar, but also may reduce weight and hyperinsulinemia. For some patients with poor therapeutic effect of sulfonylureas, such as combined with sulfonylureas, small intestinal glycosidase inhibitors or thiazolidinediones hypoglycemic drugs, the effect is better than that of single use.
Notes:
The following conditions should be contraindication:
1. Two diabetes with ketoacidosis, hepatic and renal insufficiency (serum creatinine exceeding 1.5mg/dl), pulmonary insufficiency, heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, severe infection and trauma, major surgery, and clinical hypotension and hypoxia.
2. Diabetes with serious chronic complications (such as diabetic nephropathy, diabetic fundus disease).
3. Before intravenous pyelography or arteriography.
4. Alcoholics.
5. Patients with severe heart and lung disease.
6. Patients with vitamin B12, folic acid and iron deficiency.
7. Patients with poor general conditions (e.g., malnutrition, dehydration).
Usage & Dosage:
Take it orally. Adults start at 0.25g once, 2 to 3 times a day, and then gradually increase the amount according to the curative effect, the general daily amount is 1 to 1.5g, and the maximum daily amount is not more than 2g. When taken with or immediately during meals, it can reduce gastrointestinal reactions.
