Indications:
Used for:
(1) Treatment of hypokalemia caused by various causes, such as insufficient eating, vomiting, severe diarrhea, the application of potassium diuretics, hypokalemia caused by hypokalemia after long-term use of glucocorticoids and hypertonic glucose supplementation.
(2) Prevention of hypokalemia, when patients have potassium loss, especially if the occurrence of hypokalemia is harmful to patients (such as patients using digitalis drugs), preventive potassium salt supplementation is required, such as eating little, severe or chronic diarrhea, long-term adrenal corticosteroids, potassium loss nephropathy, Bartter syndrome, etc.
(3) Digitalis poisoning causes frequent, multigenic premature beats or tachyarrhythmias.
Usage:
I.V contains 13.4mmol of potassium per 1 g of potassium chloride. For patients with severe hypokalemia or who cannot be taken orally.
General usage 10 ~ 15 ml of 10% potassium chloride injection is added to 500 ml of 5% glucose injection. The dosage, concentration and speed of potassium supplementation were determined according to clinical condition, blood potassium concentration and the improvement of electrocardiogram potassium deficiency pattern.
The potassium concentration should not exceed 3.4 g/L(45 mmol/L), the potassium supplementation rate should not exceed 0.75 g/ hour (10mmol/ hour), and the daily potassium supplementation should be 3 to 4.5 g(40 to 60mmol). 
Contra-indications:
(1) When the intravenous infusion concentration is higher, the speed is faster or the veins are thinner, it is easy to stimulate the vein intima and cause pain, and even phlebitis.
(2) Hyperkalemia. It is easy to occur when the application is excessive, the infusion speed is fast or the original renal function is damaged. Symptoms include weakness, fatigue, numbness in hands, feet, mouth and lips, unexplained anxiety, confusion, difficulty breathing, slow heart rhythm, arrhythmia, conduction block, and even cardiac arrest. The electrocardiogram showed a high, sharp T-wave and gradually a prolonged P-R period. P wave disappears, QRS wave widens and sine wave appears.
Precautions & Warning:
(1) Patients with hyperkalemia should be contraindoed.
(2) Acute renal insufficiency and chronic renal insufficiency are prohibited.
(3) This product should not be directly injected intravenously, and should not be injected intravenously without dilution.
