1g/10ml+10ml Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection

Indications:

Ceftriaxone is commonly used in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia, mild to moderate healthcare-associated pneumonia, bacterial meningitis, and febrile infants between 4 and 8 weeks of age.

Contra-indications:

Ceftriaxone is contraindicated in neonates requiring treatment with calcium-containing IV solutions.

Adverse Effects:

Specific side effects include hypoprothrombinaemia, bleeding, haemolysis, and rare biliary sludging.

Drug Interactions:

Ceftriaxone can interact with medications such as Warfarin, Sulfinpyrazone, and Calcium.

Precautions & Warning:

Prior hypersensitivity reactions to cephalosporins or penicillins should be considered before therapy. Caution is advised in penicillin-sensitive patients.

Use in Pregnancy and Nursing Mothers:

Ceftriaxone is excreted in small amounts in human milk and is considered compatible with breastfeeding.

Treatment/Antidote in The Event of Overdose:

No specific antidote is available for ceftriaxone overdose. Symptomatic treatment is recommended.
